Flexible drilling and dowel processing for medium quantities
The newly developed MULTIFLEX machine model is designed for flexible drilling and dowel processing of small to medium quantities. It still achieves a high level of productivity and can process up to 18 parts per minute, depending on the drilling pattern. A new feature of the concept is that the individual machining units, drilling spindle, glue valve and dowelling tool, have been combined into one unit and are fixed in position during machining. For processing special grids the units move along the workpiece point-to-point. If the processing units are in a fixed position, they can be adjusted by motor according to a freely selectable pitch.
The MULTIFLEX is primarily designed for drilling and dowel processing of carcase bases and narrow parts such as drawers and mouldings. The throughfeed machine can either be integrated into production lines or, as will be shown at LIGNA, function as a work cell with automatic loading and unloading. Here too, the robot connection is controlled by Rotte.

- One MULTIFLEX unit per side with drilling and dowelling function with integrated drill hole blow-out and extraction system
- Dowel feed with sensor-based dowel detection (patent pending)
- Dowel hopper positioned at ground level for better working ergonomics
- Gentle workpiece belt transport, particularly suitable for narrow parts
